The St. Pete Beach man who robbed a bank this afternoon has been arrested, St. Pete Beach police say.
James R. Caro, 33, entered a Wachovia bank at 400 Corey Ave. in St. Pete Beach at 1:34 p.m., police say Caro gave a teller a handwritten note that claimed he was armed, and he demanded $500, police say.
Police said they got a description of Caro and tracked him a block away to his home, 524 Corey Ave., No. 107.
Caro had the money with him when he was questioned by police, officers say.
