ST. PETERSBURG - St. Petersburg police said it arrested 28 people today after a monthlong street-level drug operation.
The operation, carried out by members of St. Petersburg Police Vice and Narcotics and the Street Crimes Unit, targeted several areas of the city, including the 34th Street corridor and Childs Park, police said.
The officers also seized small amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana, a firearm and a 2001 Jaguar.
All of those arrested were charged with sale and possession of various drugs, while some were charged with other offenses, including weapons and child support violations.
