TARPON SPRINGS - Bryan Morris rushed for 103 yards on just seven carries and Dunedin parlayed a pair of rushing touchdowns and an overpowering run defense into a 17-11 victory at Tarpon Springs on Friday.
Kim Howard's 10-yard run early in the second quarter and quarterback Ryan Singer's 7-yard scramble midway through the third gave Dunedin (5-2) all the points it needed.
Tarpon Springs (4-2) countered with a Michael Hill 37-yard field goal and Josiah Fisk's 3-yard fourth-quarter run, but thanks to a Falcons defense that allowed just 37 rushing yards, forced a pair of turnovers and had four sacks, the Spongers couldn't complete the comeback bid.
Tarpon Springs quarterback Danny Reyes finished 16-of-28 for 198 yards to account for nearly all of the Spongers' offense.
