Armwood's Angelo Hadley - The senior safety has scored on interception returns in each of the past two games and helped Armwood post its fourth shutout of the season Thursday against Plant City.
Wharton's Andrew Clifford - The senior quarterback has thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of the past four games, all Wharton victories.
Alonso's C.J. Bennett - The junior quarterback has 16 touchdown passes and no interceptions during Alonso's five-game winning streak.
Robinson - The Knights dropped their fourth straight game Thursday and the offense is struggling, scoring just 24 points combined during that stretch.
Lennard - After a 3-1 start, the Longhorns lost their third straight game Thursday to fall below .500 for the first time this season.
It certainly didn't take long for Alonso receiver Ed Williams to make an impact with his new team.
Williams, who transferred midseason from Chamberlain to Alonso and was ruled eligible to play last week, had five receptions for 93 yards and three touchdowns in his debut Thursday night with the Ravens.
Alonso junior quarterback C.J. Bennett found Williams on scoring passes of 21 and 12 yards in the first half to keep the Ravens in the game, and Williams then hauled in a 46-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter that put the Ravens ahead 25-24, a lead they wouldn't relinquish in an eventual 34-24 win.
Williams will face his former team, Chamberlain, Friday in a huge Class 5A-District 6 game, one that in all likelihood will decide the district champion.
3 - Consecutive shutouts posted by the Newsome defense, tying Armwood (Weeks 3-5) for the longest streak in Hillsborough County this season. Newsome had managed just four shutouts in program history (program started in 2003) prior to this season.
5 - Hillsborough County teams currently on a winning streak of five games or more: Armwood and Chamberlain have won seven straight, while Plant, Alonso and Wharton have won five straight.
8 - Consecutive games away from home for Plant City, dating to the 2007 playoffs and counting only regular and postseason contests. That streak will end Friday after the Raiders were finally given clearance to play on their newly resodded home field.
17 - Number of high school football coaches in Florida history, according to prep guru Buddy Collings of the Orlando Sentinel, who have at least 250 career wins after Chamberlain's Billy Turner reached the milestone with Thursday's win against Jefferson.
79 - Career touchdown passes for Plant's Aaron Murray, which is four shy of the Hillsborough County record held by former Jefferson standout Stephen Garcia. Murray suffered a broken leg during Thursday's win vs. Hillsborough, an injury that could keep him sidelined the rest of the season and end his prep career.
1,011 - Rushing yards this season for Hillsborough's Lindsey Lamar after a 174-yard performance Thursday against Plant.
