TAMPA - Law enforcement ejected about 72 people at the Tampa Bay Rays' playoff games this weekend.
Officers and deputies combined to arrest eight people at the games and two more shortly thereafter at Ferg's, a nearby sports bar.
By comparison, law enforcement ejected 18 and arrested four at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' regular season game Sunday. Two were arrested on disorderly conduct charges; one was charged with driving under the influence; and another was charged with obstructing or opposing an officer without violence.
At the Rays' game Saturday, roughly 47 were ejected by law enforcement. Officers arrested one person for disorderly intoxication and another for smoking marijuana in a bathroom. Pinellas County deputies arrested one person for possession of marijuana and one for disorderly conduct.
At the game Sunday, roughly 25 were ejected. Two people were arrested for disorderly conduct after they jumped over a concrete wall and ran onto the playing surface. Another was charged with resisting arrest.
Pinellas deputies arrested another person on a disorderly intoxication charge.
Police arrested two others at Ferg's on Sunday for disorderly intoxication.
The Rays drew 40,947 on Saturday and 40,473 on Sunday.
The Bucs drew 64,811 on Sunday.
