Police: Pedestrian Struck, Killed In St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg police are investigating a fatal crash today involving a Chevy Camaro and a pedestrian.
Nikola Uzelac, 22, of St. Petersburg, was driving a 1998 Chevy Camaro south on Fourth Street North at 10:54 p.m. Sunday when he struck a female pedestrian crossing the road at 17th Avenue North, police said.
The woman was taken to Bayfront Medical Center, where she died at 2:15 this morning, police said.
Investigators said the crash is not alcohol- or drug-related.
No charges have been filed.
