Polk Deputies Join Lake Kissimmee Search For Boater

Polk County deputies are helping search for a boater on Lake Kissimmee.
Robert Willis Whitchard, 38, of Winter Haven, launched his airboat Saturday at the River Ranch Hunt Club's boat ramp, deputies say.
His family and friends say they last heard from him at 10 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies learned Sunday afternoon of Whitchard's disappearance.
Polk and Osceola deputies, along with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation, are searching for him.
Whitchard has a goatee and salt-and-pepper hair. He is 5-foot-9, weighs about 180 pounds and was last seen wearing jeans and a gray camouflage shirt.
His airboat is green and has a black cage.
