Getting To World Series Can Be Costly For Ticket Buyers

TAMPA - What recession? Not if the indicator is the asking price for tickets on StubHub.com to World Series opener Wednesday at Tropicana Field between the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies.

Then again, compare what fans in the Bay area must pay compared with those in Philadelphia. Tickets in St. Petersburg appear to be a relative bargain, about $350 cheaper on average than in Philadelphia.
