TAMPA - For good or ill, your memories of the Tampa Bay Rays' first trip to the World Series will include The Backstreet Boys.
The band —a teen sensation in the 1990s and featuring Tampa native Nick Carter — will sing the national anthem before Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday night. Before Game 2, the anthem will be sung by Los Lonely Boys, the Grammy-award winning band from Texas.
At both games, military personnel will sing "God Bless America" during the seventh inning.
Both games at Tropicana Field will be televised on Fox. Radio coverage will be on ESPN Radio and XM Satellite Radio.
