Downed Power Line May Have Ignited Tampa Dumpster Fire

TAMPA - Hillsborough County fire crews are on the scene of a Dumpster fire that appears to have started this morning from a downed power line, officials said.
The fire erupted in a 40-foot trash bin behind Bob's Carpet Mart, 5523 W. Hillsborough Ave., spewing heavy flames and dark smoke, Hillsborough Fire Rescue spokesman Ray Yeakley said.
As of 9:07 a.m., the fire was under control with no damage to the building, Yeakley said. Fire crews will be at the business awhile longer to ensure the blaze is extinguished completely.
