Man In Nursing Home Accused Of Sexual Assault On Resident

CLEARWATER - A 66-year-old man was arrested Monday on charges he sexually assaulted a mentally and physically incapacitated woman at the Highland Pines Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
James Szabo, whose permanent address is listed as the nursing home, 1111 S Highland Ave, was charged with one count of sexual battery. He was being held today at the Pinellas County Jail on $50,000 bail.
Szabo is accused of standing at the woman's bedside and inappropriately touching her, according to an arrest affidavit. When confronted, he said she was his girlfriend, the affidavit says.
He was arrested within a half hour of the alleged sexual assault, the affidavit says.
