WESLEY CHAPEL - The wait nearly is over for shoppers eager to visit The Shops at Wiregrass mall.
Two of the mall's anchor stores plan to open quietly this week, with Dillard's opening Wednesday and Macy's on Thursday. The department stores join JCPenney as anchors.
Both retailers will hold their grand openings Saturday, ahead of the mall's grand opening on Oct. 30. The mall is at State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.
S.R. 56, now under construction in front of the mall, will be open as far east as Dillard's, said Debbie Bolduc, who oversees road construction for Pasco County.
