GAINESVILLE Saying the matchup between Florida and Kentucky has been one-sided would be an understatement.
The Gators have won the last 21 meetings, a streak Florida figures to extend to 22 this weekend.
While most understand the disparity between the schools in the last two decades, the streak not only surprises the Gators, some of them aren't even aware of it.
"I didn't even know that," said CB Joe Haden when asked about the winning streak. "Yeah, that's crazy. I wasn't even born 20 years ago."
RB Chris Rainey isn't surprised, though.
"No, I'm not surprised," he said. "You can never say never."
JOHNSON STEPS IN: The play of the offensive line was a concern in the first few games of the season because of OL Jim Tartt's nagging shoulder injuries.
It appears the Gators have found a legitimate replacement for Tartt in OL Carl Johnson, who made his first career start against LSU. The offensive line put together its best effort of the season with Johnson starting at guard.
If you ask Johnson, his presence hasn't sparked the offensive line's improvement.
"There hasn't really been a turnaround, because in my eyes if you go back to Ole Miss, in a loss we played good," he said. "There were a couple of mistakes, but I don't really think of it as a turnaround. I think people have their eyes on us more than before, and they're seeing what we've been doing all year."
ETC: RB Emmanuel Moody had his best day of practice since his injury, Coach Urban Meyer said Tuesday. … LB Dustin Doe is also expected to play after being sidelined with a double hernia.
