TAMPA - St. Petersburg got its chance to see the trophy that will be handed to the winner of this year's World Series.
Now it's Tampa's turn.
The Commissioner's Trophy, which will be awarded to either the Tampa Bay Rays or Philadelphia Phillies, will be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Tampa City Hall, 306 E. Jackson St. It was on display Tuesday at St. Petersburg City Hall.
Even though the trophy will be displayed for only a few hours, today's event will come with pomp and ceremony. Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio will speak at 10 a.m., and Dave Wills, the Rays' radio announcer, will serve as master of ceremonies.
