Police: Plant City Man Steals Gun And Then Sells It

TAMPA - A Plant City man is accused of stealing a revolver and a gun safe from a truck and selling the items, an affidavit states.
Brett Tyler Kahne, 20, was held without bail at the Orient Road Jail today. He is charged with felony armed burglary, felony grand theft of a firearm and felony dealing in stolen property.
Plant City police arrested Kahne on Tuesday at his home. In an affidavit, police said Kahne entered an unlocked 2004 Ford truck on Sept. 22 in the 2600 block of Bridle Drive.
He removed a gun safe with the key valued at $150 and a .44 Magnum revolver valued at $900 from inside the safe, police said. He sold the items for $150 to another person, police said.
