TAMPA - Fans from the Tampa Bay area venturing to Philadelphia for game 3 of the World Series Saturday night might wish the Phillies played in a dome.
The National Weather Service in Philadelphia is calling for a chilly — especially by Florida standards — and wet night when the Tampa Bay Rays take the field for the third game against the Phillies.
True, forecasters are also calling for a 70 percent chance of rain for Thursday night's game in St. Petersburg, but the Rays do have a dome.
At 8:35 p.m. when the Saturday game's first pitch is scheduled, the weather service says it should be 57 degrees with a 60 percent to 70 percent chance for rain. The wind should be from the southeast at 7 mph.
On the positive side, the weather service is forecasting a less than 10 percent chance of snow, freezing rain or sleet on Saturday night in Philadelphia.
