TAMPA - Police accused a 20-year-old man and two teenagers of attacking three people in Copeland Park on Tuesday, stabbing one of them.
Mark M. Woods of Tampa was held on $30,000 bail at the Orient Road Jail today. He is charged with felony aggravated battery and three felony counts of robbery, records show.
According to Tampa police, Woods and two teenage boys, ages 16 and 17, approached a 25-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old man in the park at 11001 N. 15th St. about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. A preliminary police report does not identify the 16-year-old or 17-year-old.
All engaged in a fight, whereupon Woods stabbed the 18-year-old, Justin Earlywine, with a small knife, police said. Earlywine was not seriously injured, police said.
Woods, the 16-year-old and the 17-year-old also removed personal property from the others, such as a cell phone, police said.
Police arrested Woods at his home on Chilkoot Avenue about an hour after the fight.
They also arrested the 16-year-old and the 17-year-old, charging them with misdemeanor petit theft, a preliminary police report states. The teenagers were booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center, police said.
