Man Hospitalized After Shooting In Sarasota

SARASOTA - SARASOTA Police are investigating a shooting this afternoon that sent one man to the hospital.
Sarasota police Capt. Stan Duncan said the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Star Mini-Mart at 2950 N. U.S. 301 about 3:10 p.m. today.
One man was shot several times and taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, police say. The man's condition was unknown.
Detectives are on scene, and investigators are processing evidence.
