Gibsonton Man Accused Of Hitting, Choking Woman

Christopher Lewin struck a woman with a firearm today and then choked her, and he ripped the phone line from the wall when she tried calling for help, Hillsborough County deputies say.
Deputies arrested Lewin at 12:23 p.m. Friday.
Lewin denied the allegations, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Lewin, 39, of Gibsonton, was charged with aggravated battery, domestic violence by strangulation and tampering of a witness.
He remained in Orient Road Jail on Friday. His bail had not been set.
