Free the inner freak in you or just stand by and prepare to be mesmerized as all creatures great and small parade through the streets of Ybor City today for the annual Guavaween celebration.
The early part of the day is reserved for families, with a children's costume parade and plenty of other treats.
As the sun sets, creatures of the night will haunt the streets until the wee hours. The Mama Guava Stumble parade kicks off the party, which includes several stages for live music.
Family FunFest: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; events include a children's costume parade and contest, trick-or-treating, carnival-type rides and activities.
Guavaween: after 3 p.m. to 3 a.m.; events include live music starting at 6 p.m., the Mama Guava Stumble parade starting at 8 p.m. and a costume contest at 9:15 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online ( www.cc-events.org/gw/ticketinfo.asp) or at a reduced cost at Features Costumes, 3015 W. Barcelona, Tampa.
Admission at the gate for the family event is $5 a person, with children 11 and younger in costume admitted free. For Guavaween, the charge is $15 at the gate.
