ST. PETERSBURG - A week after seeing its usual stout defense give up three fourth-quarter touchdowns in a loss to Lakewood that snapped a 15-game regular-season win streak, Largo's defense righted itself in dominating Dixie Hollins on Friday night.
The Packers held the host Rebels to 98 yards of offense and only 28 yards in the air. The lone Dixie Hollins TD came a play after Largo fumbled on its own 8.
Defensive back Myrick Gwyn intercepted a pass midway through the second quarter, returning it 37 yards for a score and a 19-0 Packers lead.
Largo defensive end Lucas Kelly had a monster game. He had four sacks (one shy of the school record), a blocked extra point, a fumble recovery and 10 solo tackles.

CLEARWATER 0
CLEARWATER - Junior running back JaTyuan Landing scored two touchdowns in 68 seconds as Palm Harbor University defeated Clearwater. Landing scored on a 2-yard run, then followed with a 22-yard TD reception after a Clearwater turnover.
The Palm Harbor defense only allowed 166 yards.
Palm Harbor quarterback Sean Shelton ran a 1-yard TD and junior Mike McNeely caught a 45-yard TD pass for the Hurricanes.

DUNEDIN 24, EAST LAKE 17
DUNEDIN - Dunedin took an early lead, scoring three touchdowns by the half, and held on to beat East Lake.
The second quarter started off with a 68-yard touchdown run by Adaris Bellamy. Shortly after, junior quarterback Ryan Singer ran for 15 yards for another Falcon TD.
The Eagles scored again in the fourth on a 7-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Sam Schaffer to sophomore Tyler Higbee.

LAKEWOOD 45, OSCEOLA 14
Lakewood quarterback Jacquez Jenkins accounted for four of Lakewood's seven touchdowns as the Spartans rolled past Osceola.
The Spartans took an early lead in the first quarter on a 10-yard pass play from Jenkins to Victor Perkins, followed by Jenkins' 5-yard TD run.
Osceola got TDs by Tyler Lewis (1-yard run) and Edwin McKinney (5-yard pass from Dylan Lantz).

INDIAN ROCKS CHRISTIAN 64,
NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN 7
Pinellas County's only undefeated team stayed that way as Indian Rocks Christian (8-0) overwhelmed Northside Christian (2-6), spoiling homecoming for the Mustangs.
The Golden Eagles, ranked third in the state, exploded for 29 second-quarter points and took a 35-0 halftime lead. Indian Rocks Christian got touchdowns from Jonny Sitton, Lou Mason, Josh Accetturo, Tyler Ostheim, Jake Voitier and Patric Yancey.
The visitors had 18 first downs and rushed for 222 yards. Mason carried 17 times and scored twice. One of Accetturo's touchdown runs was for 53 yards.

GIBBS 21, SEMINOLE 0
The host Gladiators had a strong first quarter and a half, jumping out to a three-touchdown lead which held up.
Jarvis West's 21-yard touchdown catch from Josh Rembert followed by Michael Kendricks' 11-yard run gave Gibbs a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Then the Gladiators' defense chipped in with a 64-yard interception return by David Washington.
ST. PETERSBURG 42,
PINELLAS PARK 6
At St. Petersburg, the Green Devils had little difficulty in taking control, racking up three touchdowns in the first quarter before jumping out to a 28-0 halftime lead.
Two of St. Petersburg's first three touchdowns were interception returns. Cody Pogoreic had the first Green Devils score when he ran back a pickoff 39 yards. In the second quarter, Jamone Myrick put St. Petersburg up 21-0 with a 27-yard interception return.
NORTHEAST 33, BAYSHORE 7
Northeast running back Tyler Tisdale had rushing TDs on runs of 47, 41 and 18 yards. Deandre Walker's 88-yard interception return sealed the win.
SOUTHEAST 20, BOCA CIEGA 0
GULFPORT - Bradenton Southeast's defense proved too much for Boca Ciega. The Seminoles held the host Pirates to just 38 yards offense.

FORT MYERS - The visiting Barons recorded their first win of the season with two fourth-quarter touchdowns. Keelyan Bryant scored on a 5-yard run and Richard Waddell's 10-yard reception from quarterback Chris McKay was the game-winner.
BRADENTON PREP 44,
KESWICK CHRISTIAN 0
Looking for a little revenge for getting upset in the playoffs last season, it was the visitors that did the thumping. After holding Bradenton Prep scoreless in the first half, the visitors scored 44 unanswered points.
