THE DIFFERENCE: King (2-5) missed on two field goals and lost a key fumble to keep Sickles' chances alive in the game.

GAME NOTES: With time running out, King mounted a late drive and capped it off with a 27-yard field goal from Darrell Dudley that sent the game into overtime. ... Sickles (2-6) scored a touchdown on its opening drive in overtime when quarterback Cullen O'Brien faked right and ran left. He turned and found Chris Johnson in the end zone for a 3-yard touchdown pass. ... King fought back two plays later when Keith Graham scored on a 1-yard run. ... King led off the second overtime when Rodney Pugh scored on a 2-yard run up the middle. Sickles followed with a score of its own when O'Brien scored on a keeper and, after an encroachment call against King, the Gryphons went for two points and the win. O'Donoghue went straight up the middle for the conversion.

STAT OF THE GAME: Sickles' Scott O'Donoghue, who played both sides of the line throughout most of the game, had 17 rushing yards in overtime which proved to be the key along with his 18 tackles on defense on the night.

QUOTE OF THE GAME: "I told the kids we weren't playing to lose. When we got the penalty, I told the kids this was it and they all supported it. We have had chances to win and we just took advantage this time. Everyone was comfortable." - Sickles coach Pat O'Brien on going for the two-point conversion in double overtime.
