THE DIFFERENCE: Spoto LB Jamario Belton sealed the game, thus ending any chance of a Booker rally, when he recovered QB Brodrick Waters' fumble with less than 5 minutes on the clock.
GAME NOTES: Both teams' first drives resulted in a three-and-out. ... Spoto junior QB Jamaurice Burgess broke a tackle in the backfield on a fourth down conversion and sprinted 7 yards for the first down. Sophomore RB Tim Randolph broke a 30-yard rush up the middle on the next play for the game's only touchdown. ... Spoto SR DB Alex Byers intercepted a Waters pass and returned it for 20 yards to end Booker's lone first-half scoring threat. ... Booker had possession of the ball three times in the red zone in the second half, including twice on the goal line, but couldn't capitalize. ... . Spoto did not attempt any passes in the game.
STAT OF THE GAME: Waters completed only one of his nine passes, which was a screen pass to senior WR Darques Johnson for 15 yards.
