NEW PORT RICHEY - Gulf High continued to rewrite the history books Saturday night with a 59-22 drubbing of visiting Hudson (2-5, 1-2 Class 3A-District 8).
The win pushes the Buccaneers' record to 7-0 - best in school history - and was played in front of a packed house during Gulf's Alumni Invasion weekend.
Explosive tailback Adrian Golden and quarterback Madison Burr led the charge, factoring in on all eight of Gulf's touchdowns - seven rushing and one passing.
Golden ran 18 times for 252 yards and four scores, while Burr added three touchdowns and 93 yards on the ground.
Gulf totaled 483 yards of offense on 45 plays from scrimmage - a dominating average of 10.7 yards per play.
Hudson quarterback Zack Wynn went 20-for-34, passing for 209 yards and two scores.

ELSEWHERE: Carrollwood Day School Prep (2-6) lost its third consecutive game, falling 42-12 on the road to Bradenton Christian.
Patriots QB Billy Embody finished 21 of 45 for 254 yards, while Michael Kanter (eight receptions, 111 yards) and Darius Bing (seven receptions, 76 yards) also had solid games.
