A substitute school bus driver slid into a ditch today, her first day on the job.
No children were onboard.
Latarsha Arrington was able to drive her way out of the predicament, said Linda Cobbe, school district spokeswoman.
Arrington had finished transporting students to Davidsen Middle School, at 10501 Montague St., when she went into a ditch on Broad Street near Sheldon Road before 9 a.m.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies and Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded.
