Masked Man Robs Bradenton Dollar Store

BRADENTON – A Dollar Tree assistant manager was pushed to the ground by a man wearing a Halloween mask and robbed of the store's $1,700 deposit Thursday night, according to a Manatee Sheriff's report.
The attacker is described as a 5-foot-10 black man, around 170 pounds, wearing a mask, tan sweatshirt and black boots.
The woman was accosted just after closing the store around 10 p.m. Thursday outside the Dollar Tree, located at 705 Cortez Road W.
The man demanded the money, and when the manager refused, he pushed her down and took the cash and a traveler's check for an unknown amount, the report said.
The assistant manager was not injured.
