Man Dies In Pasco Wreck After Fleeing Hit And Run

A Zephyrhills man died Sunday night after he allegedly drove off from a minor hit-and-run crash in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol says.
Lawrence Edward Sanders, 48, was ejected from his truck that overturned after he attempted to pass another vehicle at 7:55 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol reported. Sanders died at the scene of the accident on Paul S. Buchman Highway south of Pattie Road.
Sanders fled a hit-and-run crash at State Road 39 and Chancey Road in which his GMC truck struck the rear of another vehicle, whose driver was not identified, the report said. The FHP is seeking information on both crashes and can be contacted at 813-631-4020.
