Two people died Sunday morning in a collision between a car and a wrecker at the Pasco County intersection of U.S. 41 and Carson Drive, The Florida Highway Patrol said in a release Monday.
Robert Wesley Rowlands, 46, and Valerie Elaine Rowlands, 50, of Odessa, died after being trapped in their Chevrolet Camaro that burst into flames, the FHP report said. Robert Rowlands drove into the intersection in the path of a Ford wrecker driven by Charles E, Hartzner, 60, of Lutz, the report said.
No information was available on whether Hartzner was injured. No charges were filed in the accident that was reported at 7:06 a.m.
