SPRING HILL - An 89-year-old woman was killed in a three-vehicle wreck this afternoon. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the woman failed to stop at a red light and slammed into two cars at Deltona and Forest Oaks boulevards.
Charlotte Davis of Brooksville was flown from the scene to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa where she died about an hour after the 2:17 p.m. wreck, troopers said.
Davis, in a 1993 Oldsmobile, was eastbound on Forest Oaks Boulevard when she entered the intersection and was struck by a northbound 1999 Ford pickup driven by William C. Reuben, 30, of Spring Hill.
The Oldsmobile then spun and struck another northbound car, a 1988 Toyota driven by Susan C. Daniels of Spring Hill.
Reuben, Daniels, and three passengers in the Toyota, were not injured.
