ST. PETERSBURG - A 30-year-old St. Petersburg man was arrested this morning on charges he was drunk when his pickup slammed into a car in February, killing the other driver.
Ramon Bustamonte of 2550 39th Ave. N. was charged with vehicular homicide and DUI-manslaughter, according to records at Pinellas County Jail. Bail was set at $40,000.
Bustamonte, with a 27-year-old woman as a passenger, was driving on 38th Avenue North shortly after 1 a.m. Feb. 17 when his truck crashed into a car that was backing into the road, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Valeria Cattaruzza, 33, of 701 Madison Ave., Clearwater, was killed, police said.
