Hillsborough Man Charged With Sexual Battery, Kidnapping

TAMPA - A 33-year-old man is accused of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint Tuesday and forcing her to perform a sex act, an affidavit states.

George Collazo Jr. is being held without bail at Orient Road Jail after being booked today on felony charges of sexual battery and armed kidnapping. An affidavit lists Collazo as living at 5624 Baywater Drive in Tampa. Jail records list his address as 15420 Livingston Ave. in Lutz.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Collazo approached a 22-year-old woman walking her dog in Tampa about 10 a.m. on Tuesday and asked if he could pet the dog. Then he revealed a blue-handled knife and ordered the woman to go inside his Baywater Drive apartment.

Once inside the apartment, Collazo fondled himself and forced the woman to perform a sex act, an affidavit states.

Before the woman left the apartment, Collazo threatened her not to tell anyone, the sheriff's office said. She reported what had happened to the sheriff's office.
