Partygoers Cheer On McCain From St. Pete

While John McCain prepared to accept the presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention tonight, a group of St. Petersburg partygoers gathered to celebrate the historic moment.
The McCain campaign announced the locations of 10 major convention watching parties statewide, including a St. Petersburg Hilton event hosted by U.S. Rep. Bill Young.
Guests at the St. Petersburg "Watch Party" said McCain's experience will guide him through him through the nation's difficult times.
The national convention is in St. Paul, Minn.
