Polk Deputies Share Descriptions Of Mulberry Robbers

Detectives are looking for suspects in two separate armed robberies last week that appear to be related, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

At 1:30 a.m. Aug. 31, four men armed with semiautomatic handguns approached three men on Willow Drive South in Mulberry, the sheriff's office said. The victims did not speak English and did not hand over money. The four men kicked and punched the victims, striking one on the head with a gun, detectives said.

The attackers then took the men's money and left in a white or silver car, possibly a Honda.

These descriptions were given for three of the attackers:

One man is black, about 6 feet tall, weighs about 200 pounds, has dreadlocks and a mustache and brown eyes. He has a mole on the left side of his face. He was wearing a black T-shirt and bluejeans.

One man is black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray sleeveless T-shirt.

And one man is black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue T-shirt.

The victims could not give a detailed description of the fourth man.

At 9:20 p.m. Sept. 1, a group was robbed on Southwest Second Street in Mulberry, detectives said. Two men wearing ski masks approached two people on foot and demanded money. The victims did not speak English and were punched and kicked. One of the victims was hit on the head with a gun.

The attackers took money and fled on foot.

One attacker was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 170 pounds and with a dark complexion. He was wearing dark clothing. The second man is black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, about 190 pounds and has a dark complexion. He was wearing dark clothing.
