Tebow Has Meyer's Back Against Critics

GAINESVILLE - The matchup between Florida and Miami may be three days old, but the war of words isn't finished.

UM coach Randy Shannon made some unflattering comments about the Gators' decision to attempt a late field goal with the game well in hand and QB Tim Tebow felt the need to step in and defend UF coach Urban Meyer.

"The thing that offended me was when he questioned Coach Meyer and I have his back on anything," Tebow said. "To say something like that about Coach Meyer isn't true at all; he's one of the best coaches in the game. That's why I came to the University of Florida, to play for Coach Meyer.

"They're paid to stop us and Coach Dan Mullen is paid to score. If they don't stop us, oh well."

INJURIES: LB Dustin Doe suffered a groin injury against Miami but is expected to miss only about four days.

WR Carl Moore, who may have made the biggest play of the day against the Hurricanes, has a hip pointer and is also expected to miss just a few days.
