DADE CITY - Downtown Dade City Main Street needs donations of clothing for this year's Scarecrow Festival.
It is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11, and Dade City Main Street relies on clothing donations to make the festival a success, a news release stated.
Scarecrows can be made from any size clothing. Needed are: long pants and jeans; hats and long-sleeved shirts. Donations can be dropped off at the Dade City Main Street office, 14138 Sixth St., at Sixth Street and Pasco Avenue.
Guests at the festival can make a scarecrow for 50 cents. Old-fashioned games will be offered at 25 cents to $1, and everyone wins a prize. There will be pony rides and inflatables for children, along with entertainment and food.
