TAMPA - A Mulberry man pleaded not guilty this morning to charges he plotted to kill an Internal Revenue Service agent who was investigating his business dealings.
Randy Nowak, 49, is scheduled for trial in November on charges he tried to hire an undercover federal agent to kill revenue officer Christine Brandt.
The IRS says Nowak, who owns a construction company in Polk County, owed $300,000 in personal income tax obligations and on four years of corporate tax returns.
