A Pinellas County employee was seriously injured this afternoon when the garbage truck he was driving overturned and he was ejected, St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue officials said.
Bryan Moody, 22, was taken by medical helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center after the 1:54 p.m. crash. Moody had multiple fractures of a hip, Lt. Joel Granata said.
Moody was driving the garbage truck on Anderson Boulevard in Fort De Soto Park when he tried to pass another county vehicle on the two-lane road, Granata said. The garbage truck veered to the shoulder and overturned.
