The Polk County Sheriff's Office says an 11-year-old Lakeland boy missing since Thursday afternoon has been found.
Malcolm Lavern James II was found unharmed about 7:20 a.m. today, sheriff's office spokeswoman Donna Wood said.
No details have been released about where the boy was found or where he spent the night.
James was missing more than 12 hours. On Thursday, he was last seen leaving his home at 8045 Ridgeglen Circle W. on his bicycle and heading south at 4:20 p.m., Wood said.
The boy had his red and black backpack with him, which included a T-shirt, jeans shorts and black Nike tennis shoes, Wood said.
The sheriff's office said the boy has never run away before and had been concerned about his safety.
