Deputies Find No One Home In Hillsborough Standoff

TAMPA - The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office SWAT team responded this afternoon to what was said to be an armed burglary suspect who had barricaded himself into an east Hillsborough County house.
It turned out nobody was in the house.
Deputies saw the man enter the home near Lithia-Pinecrest and George Smith roads and called for help.
"Apparently the individual had gotten out of the house prior to the SWAT team's arrival, and no one saw it," sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
Deputies were still looking for the man.
