A motorcyclist was badly injured about 6 p.m. Friday on Bayshore Boulevard in Dunedin, Pinellas County deputies said.
John Simpson, 55, of Holiday was riding a 2008 Harley-Davidson north in the 1200 block of Bayshore Boulevard, in front of Bayshore Plaza, when a 2005 Ford F-350 pickup pulled out in front of him, Pinellas County sheriff's spokeswoman Marianne Pasha said. The motorcyclist crashed into the truck.
Simpson wasn't wearing a helmet and suffered serious head injuries. He was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center, where he is being treated.
The Ford driver, Matthew Graham, 26, of Clearwater did not suffer life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The incident remains under investigation.
