Four dogs seized from an Auburndale breeder this month are recovering at a Wesley Chapel animal hospital.
Ann Beal, of Lost Angels Animal Rescue in Tampa, said she contacted Polk County Animal Control after hearing of the Sept. 2 seizures and received four Yorkshire terriers out of the about 40 animals rescued. The dogs are being kept in isolation at Quail Hollow Animal Hospital in Wesley Chapel.
Beal said two of the dogs "aren't too bad," needing only to be spayed or neutered and dental work.
The other two animals have more serious medical problems, she said, including hernias and a tumor.
