At Stake
Coming off its largest victory margin in school history, FSU hosts Chattanooga in what amounts to its second warm-up for what is soon to be a much more difficult schedule. The young, unranked Seminoles blasted Western Carolina 69-0 in their opener, the first of two games against lower-division opponents.
Key Matchup
Though Chattanooga was able to rack up 503 yards of offense against Cumberland last week - including 368 in the air - it was what it did against Oklahoma in the season opener that was eye-popping. The Moccasins ran 50 plays against the Sooners for a total of 36 yards, and will have their hands full again today against the Seminoles.
Keep An Eye On
FSU - RB Antone Smith, who didn't get much work against Western Carolina (seven carries, 46 yards, one touchdown). Look for him to carry much more today.
Chattanooga - QB Tony Pastore, who threw for 320 yards last week as the Moccasins drubbed Cumberland, 47-6.
Injury Update
FSU - LB Aaron Gresham (knee), P/K Graham Gano (knee), RB Tavares Pressley (knee), DB Ed Imeokparia (knee), DB Dionte Allen (foot), OL Evan Bellamy (blood clot) and OL A.J. Ganguzza are out.
Chattanooga - No injuries reported.
Key Stat
Florida State is paying Western Carolina and Chattanooga, both Southern Conference schools, a combined $900,000 to visit Doak Campbell Stadium.
