THE DIFFERENCE: After being down 7-0, the Buccaneers (2-0) scored 44 consecutive points.
GAME NOTES: After a scoreless first quarter, River Ridge (0-2) scored its only points when senior Trevor Shoun scored on a 2-yard run. The drive was highlighted by two running plays (25 and 15 yards) by junior QB Kenny Toce. ... On the next possession, Gulf QB Madison Burr threw a 23-yard TD pass to WR Will Burbridge. ... After halftime, the Buccaneers played at a higher level, scoring touchdowns on all five possessions. ... Junior Adrian Golden ran for touchdowns of 21, 10 and 21 yards. ... Senior wide receiver Cody Kleiner had a 16-yard touchdown catch, and senior tailback Tevin Gamble raced down the right sideline for a 95-yard TD pass with less than two minutes left in the game. ... The Knights stuck to the running game, with junior halfback Stavros Arianos gaining 86 yards on 22 carries. Toce added 61 yards on 10 carries. The passing game yielded only 17 yards on 10 attempts.
