THE DIFFERENCE: Hudson (1-1) bounced back from a sloppy four-turnover performance last week against Ridgewood and started to click offensively midway through the first half. The Cobras put up 361 yards of total offense.
GAME NOTES: The run-heavy Hernando attack took a major blow in the first quarter when starting tailback Alvin Delaine went down with a leg injury. He returned for the second half, but carried only four more times to finish with 16 yards on nine carries. ... The revamped Cobra defense locked down and took advantage of Delaine's absence, limiting Hernando to 97 yards of total offense. The unit also racked up four sacks. ... Wynn was intercepted on his second pass of the game by Leopard DB Jamel Byrd, but bounced back to throw for three TDs. ... Hernando kicker Josh Harvey booted an impressive 43-yard FG in the first quarter. ... Hudson lineman Justin Pennington recovered a fourth-quarter fumble on a bad punt snap for a TD. ... Receiver Dylan Buono slashed the Leopard secondary for four receptions, 161 yards and two TDs.
