Dunedin Man Accused Of Sexual Battery On Woman

TAMPA - A Dunedin man was arrested early Sunday morning, accused of tying up and handcuffing a woman then sexually battering her, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrest affidavit.
Urben James Braun Jr., 61, of 1648 Carefree Lane, Dunedin, was charged with sexual battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment.
Deputies say Braun offered a ride home to a woman about 1 a.m. Sunday near Bearss Avenue West and Zambito Road. Braun is accused of threatening the woman's life to keep her inside his vehicle, the affidavit states.
Deputies say the woman was blindfolded and taken to an unknown location. She was tied and handcuffed then sexually battered, the affidavit states.
How old the woman is or how she knew Braun was not listed in the sheriff's office report. Her name was not released because she is considered the victim of a sex crime.
Braun was being held today without bail at Orient Road Jail.
