Evening Of Drinking Leads To Stabbing

BRADENTON - An evening of drinking and a misunderstanding about a girlfriend led one roommate to stab the other Saturday night in Manatee County.
The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Alex Hernandez, 19, got into an argument with Christian Martinez, 26, that escalated into a stabbing just after 9 p.m.
Hernandez stabbed Martinez in the stomach with a steak knife and Martinez beat Hernandez until neighbors broke up the fight, the sheriff's office said.
The two men work together and are roommates at 606 27th Ave. W. in Bradenton.
Both men were taken to hospitals for treatment and Hernandez was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery, the sheriff's office said.
