Regarding "Fans Refuse To Be Sacked By Rising Ticket Prices" (Our Opinion, Sept. 8):
The prices of tickets are only part of the problem starting to show on the Buccaneers.
While I had season tickets for seven years on a "contract," I was held hostage by the Bucs because if we did not renew our season tickets during the term of our contract, we would lose all the money we had invested. So for every year they raised prices, we were forced to pay. I am glad to see many others tired of the "crap" when their contracts were up.
It is a shame that this is the way pro sports have chosen to go. While the owners look to make millions of our dollars, let's not forget about the players who "cry" because they have one good year and then the next year they want $10 million more.
And we taxpayers paid for everything they have - only to be asked to pay more.
