I had the opportunity to see the University of South Florida play at the University of Central Florida. What impressed me the most is the policy they had on campus concerning drinking alcoholic beverages. You can't walk around the campus with an open container, and you cannot buy beer in the stadium.
The game was more enjoyable, more family oriented, and there were fewer alcohol-related problems.
If college games are played in Raymond James Stadium then college rules about drinking should apply. I have no problem about students drinking on the stadium grounds as this cannot be controlled, but I do feel that beer should not be sold in the stadium when a college football game is being played.
The atmosphere at Raymond James is fantastic, but let's keep it responsible, reasonable and promoted in the manner that benefits the college, the fans and families who attend these games.
