Largo Police ID Woman Hit On Ulmerton Road

LARGO - A woman killed Monday night when she was hit by a car while crossing the street was identified Wednesday by detectives as 67-year-old Jewel Marie Smith of St. Petersburg.
Smith was crossing with her walker in the 7300 block of Ulmerton Road about 7 p.m. Monday after leaving a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus when a 2005 Honda Civic hit her in the inside lane, according to police.
The driver of the car, who is not listed in the Largo Police Department's written statement, was not hurt in the crash.
