PALM HARBOR - A bandit held up an East Lake bank, fleeing on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said today.
The robber entered the Anderen Bank at 3412 East Lake Road about 4 p.m. Tuesday, pulled a weapon and demanded cash from the teller, the sheriff's office said.
The robber was described as a 35- to 40-year-old white male with a belly and bad teeth. He was carrying a small pouch and wearing a denim blue shirt, gray athletic shorts and a ball cap embroidered with the words "Clearwater, Florida."
No injuries were reported.
Deputies searched the area around the East Lake Woodlands Plaza.
